DRI Energy occupies an exciting and rapidly expanding presence in the energy services industry. Increasing markets and company growth have led to the creation of another Inside Sales Representative position. The position reports to DRI Energy's Executive Vice President and works out of the Company's Irvine or San Leandro, California office. Role:The Inside Sales Representative will be an integral member of DRI Energy's sales and marketing team with responsibility for meeting specific sales goals. We seek a highly motivated individual to help take our sales organization to the next level while driving rapid growth. The Inside Sales Representative will identify decision makers from prequalified Company listings, trade show leads, etc. and schedule appointments with prequalified, potential customers for outside sales representatives as well as work on smaller outside sales deals. Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify and contact "decision makers" by telephone or by written correspondence (utilizing database resources, Company-provided lists of prospect companies and any other appropriate means), and schedule appointments for outside sales team for the purpose of making slaes presentations and procuring energy services-related contracts.
- Qualify sales leads in the commercial and industrial market segments for DRI's energy management services, including lighting retrofit, daylighting and lighting control solutions.
- Prioritize companies and locations with immediate needs, and where the dollar potential is greatest in order to grow energy services sales revenues as expeditiously as possible.
- Attend local customer meetings as needed.
- Utilizing database resources, maintain and update database of target companies in order to service and/or follow-up effectively.
- Utilizing database resources, keep record of all calls made and/or received, number and dollar value of orders (potential and actual), appointments made and nature of all responses in order to track and measure telemarketing program success.
- Implement and conduct market research activities in order to determine potential sales of energy services via the telemarketing program.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant financial incentives for energy management solutions.
- Develop baseline understanding of DRI's related roofing services and renewable energy product offerings to collaborate with sister companies' sales force and provide comprehensive, turnkey energy solutions to customers.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of sales experience, with a solid track record of calling on potential clients interested in purchasing high value products or services
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create results-driven, team-oriented environment, including ability to quickly gain an understanding of company's service offerings
- Demonstrated success in uncovering opportunities, creating customer interest and scheduling appointments with outside sales in closing business for new technology
- Must be a motivated self-starter
- Exceptional verbal communication/presentation skills, including ability to conduct compelling and concise introductions to non-technical audiences
