DRI Commercial provides roofing, maintenance and waterproofing services for commercial and industrial buildings. DRI Commercial's increasing markets and growth have resulted in the need to fill an Operations Manager position. The position will report to the President of DRI Commercial and will work out of the Company's San Leandro office. Role:The Operations Manager will be responsible for all roofing and construction operations In Northern California, from project inception through project close out, ensuring clients receive a superior product and excellent service. Key areas of responsibility include: Responsibilities:
- Strengthen and sustain our Absolute Commitment to Safety by identifying and eliminating any project hazards and by ensuring all employees embrace the Company's safety culture, which includes participation in the safety and safety incentive programs, and demonstration of safe work behavior at all times
- Recruit, supervise, and train Field Superintendents and Foremen to ensure our commitment to Excellent Project Execution at all times
- Develop a quality ethic among all field employees to ensure our commitment to Excellent Project Execution at all times
- Effectively interact with customers and customer representatives to ensure complete satisfaction and likelihood for repeat business and/or referral(s).
- Manage and track all projects in process
- Oversee the administration of labor status reports and project control logs
- Generate project schedules and oversee the adherence thereto
- Manage and oversee job cost performance
- Review weekly reports to ensure profit margins are maintained
- Mentor and work with Field Superintendents and Foremen to ensure all job related expenses stay within the budget
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as Operations Manager in Construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with commercial roofing applications
- High-level organizational skills, ability to multi-task, set priorities and take on diverse tasks ranging from project management to hands-on installation
- Highly motivated to work in a team-oriented work environment and able to motivate, mentor and guide crews
- Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field from an accredited university
